Shopping Centre Carpark Safety Upgrade
A shopping centre engaged Unirack Protect to improve carpark safety and traffic control. Speed humps, guard railing and bollards were installed across key areas. Pedestrian zones were clearly defined and protected from vehicle access. The upgrade improved safety, flow and overall site presentation.
Problem
A busy shopping centre was having issues with vehicles moving too quickly through the carpark, along with cars cutting through pedestrian areas near entrances. There was also no protection in place for walkways or storefront zones.
Solution
We worked with centre management to improve safety across key areas of the carpark.
We installed speed humps throughout high-traffic zones to slow vehicles down, along with guard railing to create clear pedestrian walkways leading into the centre.
Bollards were installed near entrances, walkways and storefront areas to stop vehicles from entering pedestrian zones and to protect the building.
Outcome
The carpark is now safer for both pedestrians and drivers, with better speed control and clear separation of access areas. The upgrades have also improved the overall presentation of the centre.
