Local Transport & Logistics Yard Safety Improvement
A local transport company engaged us to improve safety across their busy yard, where trucks, forklifts and staff were all operating within the same areas. As the business grew, so did the level of activity on site, making traffic control more important. The goal was to create a safer, more organised layout without slowing down operations. We worked with the client to implement a solution that suited their day-to-day workflow.
Problem
A local transport company had a busy yard with trucks, forklifts and staff all moving through the same areas. There was little in place to control traffic flow or protect key infrastructure, which was becoming a concern as the business grew.
Solution
We worked with the client to clean up the layout and improve safety across both the yard and warehouse.
We installed bollards around office entry points, fuel stations and building corners to prevent vehicle impact. Inside the warehouse, we added guard railing to separate pedestrian access from forklift zones.
To help control vehicle speed through the yard, we also installed speed humps in key traffic areas and used barriers to guide vehicle movement.
Outcome
The site is now much more controlled, with clear traffic flow and safer access for staff. The changes have helped reduce risk and made day-to-day operations run more smoothly.
